Welcome to Novyse! This guide covers everything you need to know: from installing the app and creating your account, to setting up your architecture and understanding our pricing models.

1. Installation & Platforms

Novyse is built to be accessible anywhere. You can download and install our native apps across all major platforms.

Desktop Application

Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Enjoy native performance, hardware acceleration, and seamless system notifications.

Mobile Application

Take Novyse on the go. Available globally on both iOS and Android stores with full push notification support.

Web Version: Don't want to install anything? You can access Novyse directly from your browser by visiting app.novyse.com.

2. Account Creation

Creating an account on Novyse is extremely straightforward and built with your privacy in mind.

Registration Steps

Choose a UsernameYour username will be your unique identifier on the platform. Pick something you like.

Set a PasswordUse a strong, secure password to protect your account data.

No Email Required We do not force you to link an email address for basic usage, maximizing your anonymity.

Architecture & Pricing Model

Once your account is ready, you can decide how to manage your storage (S3) and voice (LiveKit) infrastructure. Choose to bring your own server or use our hassle-free managed plans.

3. Self-Hosted (BYOS)

For users who prefer the "Bring Your Own Server" approach. You can connect your own home server or VPS directly to Novyse. You retain full ownership, and your scaling limits depend entirely on your own hardware.

Storage (S3) & The Golden Rule

You can divide your physical node into multiple Partitions. The fundamental rule for partitions is:

Golden Rule: Every single partition can be associated with a maximum of 1 entity (either a single user or a specific chat).

4. External Providers

If you prefer not to manage the underlying hardware, you can use popular cloud providers. Novyse connects seamlessly to any external S3-compatible API and LiveKit instance.

Hetzner

Highly recommended for cost-effective storage. Hetzner Storage Boxes provide excellent S3 compatibility at a fraction of standard cloud costs.

AWS / LiveKit Cloud

For enterprise reliability. Connect your AWS S3 buckets or personal LiveKit Cloud projects directly using your own API keys.

5. Novyse Managed Plans (In-App)

Disclaimer: All prices listed below are purely indicative and may be subject to change in the future.

For users seeking a plug-and-play experience. You can purchase plans directly in the app, and our back-end automatically provisions a Virtual Node on our infrastructure. It functions identically to a self-hosted node.

5.1 Managed S3 Storage

€1.50 / 100GB

Quota Purchasing: Buy a storage quota (e.g., 100GB). A Virtual S3 Node is instantly created for you.

Partition Management: You manage this space just like a private server. Create partitions within your limit and associate them freely (Golden Rule: max 1 entity per partition).

5.2 LiveKit Voice Plans

DM Access Plan

Designed for 1-on-1 private messaging.

Unlocks unlimited high-quality voice/video for Direct Messages.
Max quality guaranteed (4K/60fps).
No group chat privileges included.

Group Plan

€5 / month

Includes DM access plus group channel slots.

All benefits of the DM Access Plan.
Provides a pool of 50 Premium Slots for group chats.
Slots can be split across channels (minimum 10 slots per channel).

Slot Expansion (Add-on)

Need more capacity for a large community? Purchase add-ons dynamically: +€5 for every additional 50 slots. The extra slots are added to your overall pool and can be distributed to channels in minimum blocks of 10.
